FAQ

  • How do I clean my insoles?
Caring for your insoles is very easy! Simply hand-wash the insoles with lukewarm water and mild soap. Lay them flat to air dry and keep the insoles out of direct sunlight.
  • How long will my insoles last?
For approximately six months, if you were to wear them every day for eight hours.
  • What are the insoles made of?
Chanir® insoles are made of carboxylated synthetic latex using trade secret technology. The lining is a brushed micro suede fabric. Our insoles are hypoallergenic and 100% recyclable.
  • Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, we offer free ground shipping in the domestic US.
  • Can I wear my insoles in any pair of shoes?
Yes, even though Chanir® insoles were design for high heel shoes, you can use them in flats and sneakers for extra comfort. hanir® insoles has a cropped toe shape so you can wear them discreetly in open toed heels.
  • Why are there different insoles for pumps and boots/booties?
Pumps are structurally different than boots/booties. In a boot or bootie, the foot is more contained and so the insole needs to have a different density to accomodate the instep and dorsum (where the top of your foot and your ankle meet). Because there is less ventilation in a boot/bootie, we have added activated charcoal to the insole for extra odor control and moisture absorption.
  • Will the insole stay in place?
One of the great things about Chanir® insoles is that they do not use damaging glue or tape to stay in place. There is a honeycomb design on the underside of the insole that uses pressure and suction to grip onto your shoes and stay in place. Because they are so easy to move from one pair of heels to the next, you can wear them with all of your favorite heels.
  • Can I wear pantyhose, tights, or stockings with the insoles?"
Absolutely! The brushed micro suede lining of the insole keeps your foot from slipping forward in your heel, whether you are barefoot or wearing hoisery.
  • The insoles are making my shoe tight. What do I do?
The Chanir insoles front pad compresses to 1.5mm thick. However, If you have little to no room in your shoes, you can easily trim the insoles by following the trim line on the underside. Keep the front pad to wear with other shoes ;) Here is an instructional video on trimming your insoles. We recommend you take your insoles with you the next time you go shoe shopping.
  • Why are my insoles bouncy?
The material is injected with air for energy return, thus a bit of bouncines. The insole will settle after five to ten minutes of standing and walking around with the insoles in your heels, reducing the bouncy feeling. The more you wear your insoles, the more contoured they become to your feet giving you a customized fit that you will love.
  • Is my foot suppposed to lift off the insole?
No; however, the insole will compress a little with the heat and pressure in order to mold to your feet and shoes. Stand and walk around with the insoles in your heels for five to ten minutes and your heel will stop slipping upwards.
  • How and where do I trim my insoles?
To trim your insoles, simply cut along the marked trimming line as demonstrated in the video below. You can trim your insoles along the trimming line, marked with a scissor icon.
